Fayette County native Brad Ford has been getting a lot of attention from the media for his development of a school security system in Nampa, Idaho.Ford, son of Diana and Doug Ford, graduated from Miami Trace High School in 1998 and about a year later joined the military, where he was moved to the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. Following his service, Ford married Vanessa Jennings, a 1998 Greenfield High School graduate. The couple has three children with one more on the way and live in Nampa, Idaho. In 2004 Ford joined the Nampa Police Department, where they serve and protect nearly 90,000 people.
A reunion for the Washington High School Class of 1952 is being planned. Mother’s Day is just a a couple weeks away and every mother deserves a present. The Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary met in the Medical Arts Building II meeting room immediately following the recognition and pinning ceremony.The meeting was called to order by president, Susan Mitchell. The Many Congregations One Church event Saturday morning at the Washington High School went well. Several hundred people attended to enjoy an Easter egg hunt and free drinks and hot dogs. The event was sponsored by local churches all coming together to entertain and teach people in the community.
