The Fayette County Commissioners appointed Brian Ream to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees on March 6. Ream is filling in the position of Oleta Milstead after her six-year term expired.
A graduate of Washington High School and DeVry Institute, Ream worked in the electronics industry for over 40 years. His 35-year career was spent with YSI/Measurement Specialties/TE Connectivity (name changes due to mergers and acquisitions). He held positions in management, sales, and engineering with the company which focuses on the design, manufacture, and sales of precision temperature sensors.
He is actively involved at Grace United Methodist Church and serves as a volunteer assistant tennis coach for Washington High School.
“We look forward to having Brian on the board. He has a lot of good management and technical experience which will be valuable as we move forward with anticipated changes and challenges that will be coming to healthcare nationwide,” said Carol Carey, president of the FCMH Board of Trustees.
