Fayette County Memorial Hospital has appointed a chief nursing officer.

Tammie Wilson, RN, MSN, will effectively take the role of chief nursing officer on Nov. 2. Wilson will replace the current vice president of nursing, Bev Hughes, RN, BSN, upon Hughes’ retirement from FCMH.

Hughes has been the VP of Nursing since 2001, devoting 31 years to the care of patients at FCMH. Wilson has served in many different facets of nursing and various management roles over her 27-year tenure with FCMH.

Wilson will begin transitioning into her new role over the next few weeks.
