Phyllis and Dale Matthews

Dale and Phyllis Matthews will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 17 with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Fayette Christian School gymnasium.

The Sunday afternoon reception will be hosted by their sons, Mark Matthews of Waynesville, OH, and Ross Matthews of New Holland, OH.

The Rev. Don McMillan married the couple at First Christian Church in Washington C.H. on Sunday, April 17, 1966. The life-long residents of Fayette County have eight grandchildren.

Dale worked as a machinist at Armco Steelox for 40 years, then drove for area trucking companies; he currently drives part-time for Fayette County Transportation. Phyllis, a former teller at 5/3 Bank, has tutored and also operated home childcare and cleaning/caregiver services.

All friends and relatives are invited to join in the celebration. Your presence will be their special gift.
