Parents and teachers, did you know that the Ohio Digital Library has special online “Reading Rooms” for children? This collection of eBooks is perfect for your child at any age or reading level. You can search for them by Lexile Measure, Interest Level, and much, much more. Or, login with a library card and let your child explore.

For beginning readers, the Ohio Digital Library has “OverDrive Read-along” books. From OverDrive: “These titles combine the visual text of an eBook with a read along capability to help readers better understand sentence structure, language flow and syntax.” The text is highlighted as the narrator reads. “OverDrive Read-along” books are an excellent way to get your young ones excited about reading, and introduce them to a fun, new way to enjoy their iPad or laptop time. These books are browser-based, so no software or app is required! Have questions? Library staff are glad to help!

In Jeffersonville: Every Tuesday at 11 a.m., come listen to stories, play instruments, create crafts, socialize with other little friends at Toddler Time. March 1 will feature a “Once Upon a Castle” theme. March is National Quilt Month! In keeping with the theme, on Thursday, March 3 at 4 p.m. the library will be hosting an event where participants of all ages will create a unique quilt piece to be added to the “Library Quilt” to be displayed in the library through the month of March. Registration is required.
