Refresh at the Fayette Christian Fair Booth

The Fayette Christian School booth will be offering a special deal on soda pop at the Fayette County Fair next week.A limited supply of cups, sponsored by The Willow Restaurant/Catering and Ranchers Roast Beef, are currently available at The Willow and Fayette County Fair Office. These cups initially cost $10 each and for $1 can be refilled the entire week of the fair, July 14-19, at the Fayette Christian booth.For the remainder of 2014, the cups can be filled at Ranchers or The Willow for the same $1 price.The Fayette Christian booth will have fountain soda in the following flavors: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Dew, Dr. Pepper, Root Beer, Lemonade, and Fruit Drink. It will also offer fresh-brewed sweet tea and un-sweet tea.

 

Sollars Road bridge to receive federal funding

The Fayette County Engineer has announced the beginning of a national project being worked on here in Fayette County.According to Engineer Steve Luebbe, the bridge on Sollars Road has been selected by the federal government to be part of a national project researching a better way to support bridges such as regular county bridges.“We are working with Ohio University and the contractor to study a new way of connecting the support beams together,” Luebbe said. ...

Roads closed around the county

The Fayette County Engineer has issued several road closing announcements beginning on July 8.The first is Marchant-Luttrell Road from Pearson-Octa Road to Allen Road. This road will be closed for three to four weeks while they fix a bridge.Next, is Prairie Road from Brock Road to Wesley Chapel Road.
