Jeff Library visits fire department

In keeping with the October theme of Fire Prevention Month, Miss Bonnie’s Story Hour from Jeffersonville Branch Library visited Jeffersonville’s Fire Department with firefighter Devon Jenkins leading a grand tour of all the fire engines. The oldest one, from 1927, is shown here with Cindi Grover (GG) and her grandson Zander.

Among those participating in the tour were: Heidi, Kenedi, Addie, Landon, Joel, Bailey, Gabriella, Jordyn, Jaden, Tanner, Levi, Daphne, Tess, Grammy Robin, Addie, Firefighter Devon Jenkins and Kori.

Each child that chose to was able to spray the hose used to put out fires. Shown here is Levi spraying the hose.

Kenedi, Bailey and Joel study the turbo flair. Firefighter Devon said that firefighters use to mark landing zones for helicopters.
