Sheriff visits Jeffersonville Library


These teenagers learn that 10:30 p.m. is the curfew for Fayette County during a program at the library from Sheriff Vernon Stanforth. They are Austin, Kaleb, Susan Davis, branch manager of Jeffersonville Branch Library, Jonathan, Charlie and Desi.


Jeffersonville Branch Library’s Spotlight is on Community Hero Sheriff Vernon Stanforth. The Sheriff is the highest elected law-enforcement officer of Fayette County. He has to know all of the ordinances of villages like Octa, Bloomingburg, Jeffersonville and the city of Washington Court House as well as the state and federal laws. One very good point was that Fayette County is far better than most in the fight against heroin.
