Fetters speaks at Charm-N-Farm meeting

The second meeting of the Charm-N-Farm 4-H club was held on Nov. 20 at St. Colman Parish Center.

Anna Robinson led the Pledge of Allegiance and Wesley Nye led the 4-H pledge. Under officer reports, former community service officer Therese Robinson reminded the club that all cookie donations to the Red Cross for their annual blood drive needed to be dropped off at Grace United Methodist Church on Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. Robinson reported that the club will be donating 26 dozen cookies.

Under new business, the club held the annual election of officers. Under new business, the club elected the officers as follows: president Clare Sollars, vice president Anna Robinson, secretary Therese Robinson, treasurer Spencer Minyo, news reporter Trevor Minyo, community service officer Therese Robinson, health officer Claudia Fuller, safety officer Mcale Callahan, environmental officer Courtney Arnold, and historian Anna Robinson.

The club voted on dues and to approve the club constitution and by-laws. The club was informed that the county raised activity fees to $12/person. The club voted to keep dues $5. Under advisors’ reports, advisor Bridget Sollars recognized certain club members for their state and county achievements.

The club was happy to welcome Mrs. Marie Fetters, a third term Wayne Township Trustee, to speak to the club about local government. Mrs. Fetters encouraged members to run for club offices and to participate in local government.

Clare Sollars led the club in a game of “10” for recreation. The next meeting of Charm-N-Farm will be a French Christmas Party, held Dec. 28 at 6 p.m.
