Valero Renewables named ‘Business of the Month’

The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Team made a visit recently to Valero Renewables Bloomingburg to award them the honor of the January Chamber Business of the Month.

Known mostly for the production of ethanol, the 62-person plant is quietly busy at supporting the community. In the last year, the plant has logged 1,750 volunteer hours, sponsored the Bloomingburg Bulldogs Ball Association, donated $30,000 to children’s charities, $10,000 to Miami Trace Local Schools, as well as funds to Adopt-A-Family and Adopt-A-Soldier.

“These are just a few examples of the generosity shown by Valero, and it’s for their overall commitment to the community that the ambassadors chose them to be the Business of the Month,” said Chamber president, Whitney Gentry.
