The Fayette County Agricultural Society is inviting the community to join them for an evening of fun and entertainment while helping to raise money for improvements.

The 2017 raffle drawing and dance party will be held on Feb. 11. The event will include the Smokin’ Ham Band, which will perform during the event from 7 to 11 p.m.

The society is holding this annual raffle to raise money for building improvements on the grounds. Organizers said that it will help with renovating and updating restroom facilities in the barn areas of the fairgrounds. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the fair office, from ag society directors, at Doug Marine Motors or even at the door.

“We will have tickets available for the dance at the door for $10,” ag society board member, Doug Marine, said. “There will be plenty of seating and we will have a full service bar and food available. We would like everyone to come out and enjoy a fun evening with a great country band. The tickets for the raffle will be sold up to the time of drawing. “

Tickets for the raffle are $50 each or three for $100. In an attempt to try some new prizes, this year’s grand prize is $20,000 and the second prize is for $5,000. Numerous other prizes will be given away as well, including flat screen TVs, iPods and other smaller prizes.

The raffle winners will be drawn at 9 p.m. and patrons must be 18-years-old to enter. Organizers said that winners must be present to win the non-cash prizes that will be awarded.
