Congratulations to Fayette Christian School eighth grade student, Lilly Russi, for winning the 2017 Hike for Hospice Drawing contest.

“I’m really excited my drawing was chosen. I thought about the Hospice logo and Fayette County, and the love people have for their hometown,” Russi said.

Each year, Hospice of Fayette County invites seventh and eighth grade students from Washington, Miami Trace, Fayette Christian and Greenfield schools to submit drawings to be used on the front of the Hike for Hospice t-shirts. The winner receives free entry and a t-shirt for the Hike for Hospice as well as two one-day passes to Kings Island for the 2017 season.

“We appreciate all of the drawing submissions and effort put in by students and teachers. The drawing will be on over 500 shirts this year and it is wonderful to be able to include a unique image from a local student,” said Carolyn Moore, marketing and fundraising coordinator for Hospice of Fayette County.

The Hike for Hospice will be held Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m. beginning and ending at Merchants National Bank, 128 S. North St. in Washington Court House. Registration will begin April 1 and run through April 27. Registration is $10 for all ages and includes the event t-shirt, pizza and drinks following the hike.

For more information on registration, call the Hospice of Fayette County office at 740-335-0149 or visit the website at www.hospice-fayco.org. Hike registration forms can also be picked up at the office, 222 N. Oakland Ave, Washington Court House.
