City of Washington C.H. to begin fire hydrant flushing

The Record-Herald

The City of Washington Court House Water Department will begin its spring flushing of fire hydrants on Monday, April 3.

This will begin in the north end of town on Peabody and will continue until completion.

Hydrant flushing is done yearly to improve water quality and to keep fire hydrants in good working condition. Some may notice discoloration in their water during this time, which is a temporary condition. The water department suggests turning faucets on and allowing water to run clear.

Anyone with questions or concerns regarding water can call the city service department at 636-2380.
