Six students from Fayette County competed in the Destination Imagination (DI) Region 14 Tournament on Saturday, March 11 at Miami University in Oxford.

The Team, called The Legendaries, competed in two challenges that day. The first one was titled “3-Peat” where the students had to perform improvisational skits requiring the following skills: effective storytelling, risk taking, improvisational acting, story development and teamwork.

The second challenge was an instant challenge that required problem solving and team work in order to perform a unique solution. The Legendaries competed along with 65 other teams from Butler, Clinton, Greene, and Warren counties. Their team is the only team in Fayette County, which places Fayette on the Region 14 Map for Ohio DI. The Legendaries were awarded first place in their 3-Peat challenge and will be advancing to the Ohio Affiliate Tournament on April 8.

The team consists of Caleb Campbell, Chris Evans, Todd Ford, Austin Musser, Christian Rossiter and Kaiden Thompson (team manager is Leandra Roble). Destination Imagination is a program for students in the elementary through college level. Teams can choose various challenges including: scientific, technical, fine arts, improvisation, engineering, project outreach, and geography.
