May candidates and issues slated for Fayette County Chamber of Commerce breakfast

If you want to familiarize yourself with the candidates and issues on the primary/special election ballot May 2, the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce will have them all in one place at its April 11 “Ballot Breakast.”

The event is free to chamber members and $5 per person for non-members, and will take place at Southern State Community College’s Community Room, 1270 US Highway 62 SW. The buffet line, catered by Rachel’s House, will open at 7:15 a.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 a.m.

Candidates and issues represented will include:

• Washington Municipal Court Judge candidates: Victor Pontious and Susan Wollscheid

• Miami Trace Local Schools’ operating renewal: David Lewis, superintendent

• Village of New Holland operating issue: “Butch” Betzko, mayor

• Union Township renewal levy: Clyde Fyffe, Union Township Trustee

• Paint Valley Mental Health & Prevention levy: Penny Dehner, associate director
