Farmers Market benefits from rain

0

What a difference a week makes! Farmers/vendors are reporting good things coming to the Fayette County Farmers Market in the next couple of weeks.

A few summer squash and zucchini are arriving today at the market to join the tomatoes that were brought this past week. Say, are you TOUGH ENOUGH to wear pink?……the charity horse show that is! Local representatives of the aforementioned event will be at the market the next few weeks to offer raffle tickets and event related items for sale and to provide show bills for the horse show. The event is co-sponsored by Ohio Health and proceeds from the horse show, raffle, and memorabilia sales go toward cancer patient assistance funding.

The horse show is Sept. 18, 19 and 20 at the Roberts Arena in Clinton County. Raffled items include a “Four Star” two-horse slant trailer, a “Bad Boy” zero turn mower, and a horse training saddle.

Alrusan Debra Grover will again be volunteering at the Market Information Booth today and will be hiding Disney’s plush 3 Peas-in-a-Pod among the many vendor booths throughout the morning for the children of shoppers to find and turn-in for Market bucks.

The Market is located in the municipal parking lot on the corner of South Main and East East streets in Washington C.H. every Saturday morning and as always, SNAP EBT food benefit cards and credit/debit cards are accepted.
