The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle accident with injury Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 22 in the vicinity of the American Legion Post 25. A red Dodge Caravan minivan, with two occupants, left the nearby parking lot when it entered the westbound lane and into the path of a black Yukon with two occupants, a mother and her child. The Yukon struck the van on the driver’s side and was then rear-ended by a grey Cadillac with a single occupant. The two occupants of the van were taken by ambulance from the scene with minor injuries. The others involved declined treatment, according to the FCSO. All vehicles were towed from the scene.
