According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

DEC. 13

TRAFFIC CRASH: Rebecca Beatty, of Greenfield, was traveling east on U.S. 35 and struck a coyote in the roadway. No injuries reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Sandra Aiton of Rockhill, S.C. was traveling northbound on I-71 near NP 68 when a vehicle attempted to change lanes and struck the front corner of her vehicle. The other vehicle continued without stopping. No injuries were reported. Aiton vehicle sustained minor damage.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Weston Porter, of Washington C.H., was traveling westbound on Bogus Road and failed to stop for a stop sign. Porter entered onto State Route 753 when his vehicle was struck by David Shoemaker, of Washington C.H., who was traveling northbound on State Route 753. All parties including a passenger in Porters vehicle were taken to Columbus area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 5000 block of Carss Mills-Jamestown Road on a domestic incident. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no assault or threats of violence occurred.

THEFT: Susan Davis, of Jeffersonville, reported that someone removed a registration sticker from her license plate.

ASSAULT: Sherry Bailey, of New Holland, reported while at a family member’s residence a known male pushed her. Bailey was referred to the solicitor for charges.

THEFT: An employee at NIKE Outlet in Jeffersonville reported that he observed a female conceal clothing and then attempted to return the items for cash. Kasie Morgan, of Columbus, was arrested in the incident.

ASSAULT: Patty Stout, Mt. Sterling reported she was assaulted by Michelle Rowe, of Bloomingburg, during a family gathering. Rowe had departed the scene following the incident, but was located at her residence and subsequently arrested on this charge.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Christina Adams, Clarksburg reported as she was driving south bound on SR 207, a north bound vehicle threw something out of their vehicle that struck the front of her vehicle causing damage. The other vehicle departed the area.

DEC. 12

TRAFFIC CRASH: James Liddle, of Circleville, was traveling northbound on State Route 753 near U.S. Route 22 when Liddle struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

VEHICLE DAMAGE: Fan Yang of Cincinnati reported while his vehicle was parked on the Tanger Outlet Mall parking lot someone struck his vehicle while opening a vehicle door next to him.

DEC. 11

CASUALTY: Fayette County Jail staff reported while serving breakfast trays he witnessed an inmate trip and fall to the floor sustaining injury to her arm. Fayette County EMS responded to the scene and transported the inmate to a medical facility for treatment.

PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff’s deputy made contact with a respondent and served him with a protection order pursuant to the order of the Court.

BREAKING AND ENTERING/THEFT: Roy Perkins, Jeffersonville reports that someone had entered his garage and removed property without permission.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies investigated a reported hit skip traffic crash in the 6000 block of Ghormley Road. An unknown vehicle was attempting to negotiate a left hand curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a South Central Ohio utility pole and departed.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Sammy Boyd, Washington C.H. reports she was north bound on Washington Waterloo Road when she attempted to pass on the right, another north bound vehicle , driven by James Conley, Washington C.H., that as attempting to turn right into a driveway. Ms. Boyd struck the other vehicle and traveled off the right side of the roadway into a yard. Ms. Boyd was cited for improper passing and for not having a juvenile passenger in a proper child restraint.

THEFT: Employees of Aeropostale Outlet Store, Tanger Mall, report that a female suspect departed the store with merchandise that had not been paid for. A search of the area did not locate the suspect.

TRAFFFIC CRASH: A semi-tractor trailer was attempting to park on the shoulder of the west bound on-ramp to US 35 from Palmer Road. The semi backed into a light pole knocking it down onto another semi-tractor trailer, owned by Michael Miller, Bad Axe, Mich., that was parked on the shoulder. The at fault semi departed the area prior to the Deputies arrival.

THEFT: Employees of the Gap Outlet, Tanger Mall, report that a female suspect departed the store with merchandise that had not been paid for. A search of the area did not locate the suspect

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Richard White, Columbus, reports that during an exchange of children in the parking lot of McDonald’s, Allen Road a verbal argument ensued between him and his ex-wife, Karly White. During this dispute, White’s boyfriend, Robert Darling, Leesburg kicked Richard’s vehicle causing damage. Mr. Darling was arrested on this charge.

RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: Deputies responded to a suspicious persons complaint at the Tanger Mall. Upon locating the subjects it was determined that they were in possession of numerous items that had been stolen from several stores at the Mall. Chana Stargell, Dayton and Kris Stargell, Moraine were arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. on this charge.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Audra Cassady, Greenfield reported she was assaulted by her ex boyfriend, Hunter Custis, Greenfield. Custis was arrested on a warrant for the charge.

DRUG ABUSE: Deputies and EMS responded to an unresponsive female in the parking lot of the Waffle House. Upon arrival it was determined that the female had overdosed. EMS treated and transported her to Fayette Co. Memorial Hospital.

FOUND PROPERTY: Employees of Tanger Mall turned in an Ohio Driver’s License belonging to Cheryl Crooks, of New Albany that had been lost at the Mall. Crooks will be contacted to arrange for the return of the license.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT – FIGHTING/ASSAULT: Deputies responded to a fight in the jail among several inmates. One inmate sustained injuries that required being transported to the Hospital. Brett Whaley, Joshua Mullins, Mark Rittenhouse and Michael Mosbacker were charged in this incident.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a Wissler Road address on a report of a dispute between two subjects. After speaking with both parties it was determined there was no assault and no threats had been made. Parties were counseled.

DEC. 10

TRAFFIC CRASH: William Hockaday, Clarksville, Tenn., reported he was attempting to back his semi-tractor trailer into a parking space at the Travel Centers of America, when he backed into the tractor of another semi that was parked in the next spot. That tractor is owned by VFS Leasing, Greensboro, N.C.

JUVENILE OFFENSES: The Ranch of Opportunity reported four female juvenile clients fled the facility. These Juveniles were later located on Briar Ave., by the Washington C.H. Police Department and were returned to the facility.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Lynn Burris, London was backing from the gas pumps at BP, Jeffersonville and failed to notice a vehicle parked behind her. Burris’ vehicle struck the other vehicle, owned by Feng Lin, of Milledgeville.

OVI/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Deputies received a complaint of an impaired driver in the Village of Bloomingburg. The vehicle was located on Main Street in the Village and the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Upon a search of the vehicle drug paraphernalia was located inside of the vehicle. Ashlie Quallen, of Clarksville, was arrested in the incident.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Trent Boren, of Washington C.H., was northbound on Route 41 near Route 734 and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Tyler Keller, of Hillsboro, was traveling southbound in the 1700 block of Goodhope-New Holland Road and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Bret Rumer, of Leesburg, was traveling southbound on U.S. 62 near Snow Hill Road when Rumer struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

ASSAULT: Two juvenile students were involved in an physical altercation at the Miami Trace Campus.

PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: A protection order was served per order of the Court, in the 300 block of Waverly Drive.

THEFT: Employees of GAP Outlet in Jeffersonville reported that four unknown females entered the store and concealed several items of clothing then departed the store.

DEC. 9

DISSEMINATING HARMFUL MATTER TO JUVENILE: A female juvenile reported that a male juvenile sent unwanted pornographic pictures through social media of himself.

DEC. 8

PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff’s deputy made contact with a respondent in a Protection Order. The male subject was advised of the restrictions and the consequences of any violations.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Jaymie Bollinger, of Ashville, was traveling south on Old Springfield Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, entered a yard of a residence, continued through until he struck tree, then traveled into a water way. No injuries were reported. Bollinger was cited out of the incident.

THEFT: Tonya Seitz of Washington C.H. reported someone removed property from her residence.

THEFT/CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Montana Coe of Bloomingburg reported that someone removed property from his property.

PROTECTION ORDER: Deputies served a protection order in Washington C.H. pursuant to court order.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Austin Benshadle of New York was traveling north bound on the lot of Travel Centers of America when he attempted to drive between two parked cars. Benshadle side swiped an unoccupied vehicle parked on the lot. Both vehicles suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Roger Vance, of Gallipolis, was traveling north bound on State Route 207 when a deer entered the roadway causing a collision. No injuries were reported.

DEC. 7

TRAFFIC CRASH: Sandra Harrison of Washington C.H. was traveling west on U.S. 22 and struck a deer in the roadway.

THEFT: Carolyn O’Neal, of Columbus, reports while at the at the north bound rest area on I-71 unknown male subjects departed with her ring.

THEFT: Wanda Alltop of Washington C.H. reports someone removed mail from her mailbox.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jefferey Fetters of Washington C.H. reports someone drove through his farm field causing damage.
