According to reports, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

JAN. 25

TRAFFIC CRASH: Linda Shaw, Washington C.H., was south bound on S.R. 41 approaching Flakes Ford Road, when she failed to observe the vehicle in front of her, driven by George Burke, Bainbridge, was slowing for other traffic. Shaw subsequently struck the rear of Burke’s vehicle. Both vehicle’s sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. Shaw was cited for failing to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a reported domestic incident. Upon arriving at the residence they learned that a male and female, both of Bloomingburg were involved in a verbal argument. Neither party reported any threats or physical altercation. The male departed the residence for the evening.

JAN. 24

BREAKING AND ENTERING/THEFT: Stacy Everhart, Washington C.H., reported someone entered an unlocked barn and removed property without permission.

LOST PROPERTY: Steven Mangan, Xenia, reported over the past several days he lost his wallet at the Travel Center of America.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to Yorkshire Drive in Jeffersonville on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred.

TAKING THE IDENTITY OF ANOTHER: Tammy Girton of Washington C.H. reported she received two credit cards in the mail that she did not sign up for.

JAN. 23

THEFT: Employees of DSW Outlet, Tanger Mall reported a female removed merchandise from the store without paying for it. Upon reviewing the video surveillance the deputy was able to identify the suspect as Misti Fitzpatrick. A warrant was issued and Fitzpatrick was arrested on this charge.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A Greenfield resident reported receiving unwanted text messages from a known female.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Angela Tyler of Chillicothe was traveling westbound on U.S. 35 near Harmony Road when Tyler began to change lanes. Tyler’s vehicle struck a vehicle operated by Nathan Brown of Washington C.H. who was also traveling westbound. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Tyler was cited for failure to assure clear distance ahead.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to Joanne Drive on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involve were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Roger Howe of Leesburg was traveling west on Walnut Creek Road and lost control of his vehicle on inclement roadways while negotiating a left curve. Howe traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a ditch embankment. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to a medical facility for treatment. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Howe was cited for failure to control.

JAN. 22

TRAFFIC CRASH: A 17-year-old male was northbound on Prairie Road and lost control of his vehicle. The driver traveled off the left side of the roadway into the ditch overturning. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. The driver was cited for failure to control.

FIRE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to Staunton Sugar Grove Road on reports of a fire. Concord Green Fire responded to the scene extinguishing a chimney fire within the residence.

JAN. 21

THEFT: Christine Grove of Bloomingburg reported that someone removed a tablet and prescription medication.

DOMESTIC: Deputies were dispatched to 11291 Beatty Road, Perry Twp., on a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival an investigation provided that Donald Bowman, had physically assaulted Ashley Collier. Mr. Bowman was arrested and charged with Felony Domestic Violence.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Brian Landenburg, Jeffersonville, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct after causing a disturbance at his residence. After Deputies arrived Landenburg was ordered to cease his behavior and refused to do so. Landenburg was taken to the Fayette County Jail.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to Harrison Road, Madison Twp., address on a report of a domestic dispute.

TRAFFIC CRASH: April Anders was traveling north bound on State Route 753, attempting to turn left onto Robinson Road. Anders failed to observe a south bound vehicle being operated by Thomas Pooler and entered into Pooler’s lane of travel, causing a motor vehicle crash. The Fayette County Life Squad was dispatched to the scene to treat injuries received to motorists during the crash. Anders was issued a citation for failure to yield.

JAN. 20

TRAFFIC CRASH: Ruben Barrios, Columbus, was south bound on 1-71 in Jefferson Twp. when he lost control of his vehicle, struck the guard rail in the median, rolled the vehicle before coming to rest on the north bound side of 1-71. Barrios and two passengers were transported to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Barrios was cited for failure to control.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Loneva Muse, Cincinnati, was traveling north bound on 1-71 in Jefferson Twp. when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the guard rail in the median. Muse refused medical treatment. Muse was cited for failure to control.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles Dotson, Hillsboro, was traveling east bound Miami Trace Road in Perry Twp. Dotson failed to yield to at the intersection of Miami Trace Road and Washington-New Martinsburg Road and entered the path of travel of Tye Adkins, who was traveling north bound on Washington-New Martinsburg Road, causing a motor vehicle crash. Dotson was issued a citation for failure to yield.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Austin Wright of Rochester Hills, Mich., was traveling northbound on I-71 near Route 41 when Wright lost control on ice. Wright traveled off the right side of the roadway then struck a guardrail. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Wyatt Dunn of Mt. Sterling, was traveling northbound on I-71 near Brock Road when Dunn traveled off the left side of the roadway. Dunn then crossed over southbound lanes of travel and struck a ditch. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage. Dunn was cited for failure to control.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Randy Paul of Williamsport, was stopped at a stop sign on State Route 38 at the intersection of U.S. Route 62. Samuel Bookwalter of Chillicothe failed to observe Paul’s vehicle stopped and struck the rear of Paul’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Vehicles sustained minor damage. Bookwalter was cited for failure to assure clear distance ahead.

JAN. 19

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Someone damaged two pieces of glass in one of the cells at the Fayette Co Jail.

THEFT: Pamela Janson of Washington C.H. reported someone removed two pieces of jewelry from her residence.

UNRULY: A complaint was received regarding an unruly 15-year-old female.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Yudin Vyacheslav, Staten Island, New York was attempting to back out of the area of the gas pumps at the Flying J. While backing his semi-truck Vyacheslav struck another unoccupied parked semi-truck. Minor damage was sustained by the unoccupied semi-truck. No damage was reported to Vyacheslav’s vehicle.
