Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation and Hospice of Fayette County have teamed up to present a fun and active “Zumba for Your Heart” event to kick off the 2016 Race of Fayette County.
The Zumbathon will be held on Friday, Feb. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fayette County Family YMCA, 100 Civic Drive, Washington Court House, with certified Zumba instructors, Jody Justice and Nancy Spears.
Anyone 10 years and older is welcome to participate, cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. All fitness levels are welcome. Free childcare is provided for children under 9 years old.
“We are excited to be hosting such a fun and interactive event for the community. Instructors Jody Justice and Nancy Spears will be leading the party which will also feature a black light party glow element,” said Holly Cottrill of Hospice of Fayette County.
This event will raise funds to help The Race of Fayette County get underway this year. The Race, established by Jeff Underwood, helps raise money for non-profits.
Fayette County Memorial Foundation and Hospice of Fayette County have been selected as the two non-profit organizations for 2016. The Race 13 will be held June 10-12, 2016. Application deadline is Feb. 22, 2016. For more information regarding the race, please visit www.2004therace.com
