Fire In The Sky art contest winner Alex Riddell

Eleven-year-old Alex Riddell is the winner of the art contest sponsored by Fire In The Sky and the Carnegie Public Library.

The theme was patriotism and any media could be used. When asked how this winning creation came to be, Riddell responded, “When I thought about fireworks, I was inspired to do this painting. Most fireworks are red, white and blue. But during the finale, there are all different colors and this is how they fall.”

As the winner of this inaugural yearly contest, Alex and his grandparents are invited to attend a sponsor night on July 2 to see firsthand how the show is executed. They will also get to meet many of the sponsors for the yearly event.

On the night of the fireworks display, July 3, Alex and his grandparents will be seated in the VIP area for a front row view of this year’s celebration of our country’s birthday. Congratulations to Alex and his family and happy birthday to the USA.
