The Fayette County Shepherds Club 76th-annual Lamb Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 19 at Heritage Hall in Washington C.H.

The Lamb Banquet is the longest continuous agricultural banquet in the county and dates back to 1941 when the first one was held in Sunnyside School on South Fayette Street in Washington C.H.

The feature of the banquet has always been roast domestic lamb and lamb meat balls. The meal will be prepared by the Willow Restaurant.

Following dinner, which begins at 6:30 p.m., the 2016 Fayette County Lamb Queen will be crowned by 2015 Queen Abbi Pettit. Entertainment will be provided by a quartet of singers from Grace United Methodist Church, featuring Maria Pickerill, Wendy Hawk, Macrae Conrad, and Chas Grover under the direction of Jeanie Rosendahl.

President Jeremy Etzler will serve as toastmaster. Tickets may be secured from the Extension Office, Fair Board Office or any of the Shepherds Club Directors.
