Two charged with drug trafficking

Two individuals were recently arrested for allegedly trafficking narcotics following an investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force.

On Wednesday, April 13, detectives from the FCSO and the Major Crimes Task Force served a search warrant at a home located at 2414 Bogus Road, Lot 6 in Union Township, according to Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth.

During the search of the home, detectives recovered substances presumptively identified as heroin and cocaine, Stanforth said. Also recovered were various items of drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Chad E. Self, 43, a resident of the home, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs, second-degree misdemeanor possessing drug abuse instruments, and fourth-degree misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Michelle L. Self, 25, of 2414 Bogus Road, Lot 5, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs, second-degree misdemeanor possessing drug abuse instruments, fourth-degree misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, third-degree felony tampering with evidence, and fifth-degree felony drug abuse.
