Annual ‘Hike for Hospice’ held Sunday


The annual Fayette County Hike for Hospice was held on Sunday starting at Merchants National Bank. The event was well attended, with children, adults and animals all taking part in the hike.


Prior to take-off, Hospice of Fayette County volunteers were on hand to sign in all of the participants.


Holly Cottrill, marketing and fundraising coordinator with Hospice of Fayette County, announced awards before the hike began.


The Washington Fire Department stopped by the event to take a large group photo from the extended bucket of the fire truck.
