Strawberries at the Wednesday Market

0

The Fayette County Farmers Market is stoked and ready for a warm Wednesday afternoon given last Saturday’s cold front, which we experienced first hand going through the county.

Today, we will have eggs, honey, baked goods, hand crafted wood, metal and jewelry items, lots of produce AND strawberries that are red all the way through! I would like to mention briefly about a new program that your Fayette market has been permitted to participate in this season. It’s called veggie SNAPS and it permits those who use a SNAP EBT card for food items to receive matching dollar tokens (one for one) for fruits and vegetables.

It’s a BOGO for fruit and vegetables, up to $10 every market day! I will explain further in the next article but the program is up and running now.

The Wednesday edition of the Fayette County Farmers Market is located at 1650 Columbus Ave. (TSC parking lot) in Washington C.H. and operates from 4 to 7 p.m. This location also accepts charge/debit cards and SNAP EBT cards.

The following vendors have indicated that they should be there:
