Altrusa International of Washington C.H. listened to an informative presentation from Fayette County’s Probate/Juvenile Court Administrator at the club’s June program meeting. Julie Hidy, who in the 1990s had clerked for Judge Nancy Hammond, achieved the job of administrator in mid-2011 when David Bender was appointed by the governor to finish out retiring Judge Hammond’s term. After listing the wide variety of responsibilities entrusted to the Probate/Juvenile Court here in Fayette County, Hidy concluded with some of the major challenges as well as the successes. The three women shown, all Altrusans, are (from left) Judge Nancy Hammond (Ret.), Altrusa’s Vice President; Probate Court Administrator Julie Hidy, who joined the club one year ago; and Altrusa President Cathy White.
