Modern Woodmen sponsoring Care & Share food drive

Modern Woodmen members of Chapter 5458 and El Canon Restaurant are sponsoring a Care and Share Food Drive now through Tuesday, July 21, to benefit the Rose Avenue Community meal program.

Washington C.H. members and guests will be having dinner together and collecting donations on Tuesday, July 21, 5 to 7 pm, at El Canon Restaurant, 1381 Leesburg Ave. You may drop off your donations any time before that date at the restaurant. Items needed are:

Dry Goods: spaghetti, macaroni, pasta sauce, Velveeta, rice, instant potatoes, taco shells

Canned Goods: pork and beans, corn, green beans, gravy, chili, peanut butter, jelly and taco seasoning,

Supplies: Paper plates, nine oz plastic cups, paper bowls, plastic forks, plastic spoons, toilet tissue, paper towels, 30 gal trash bags, foil wrap, and Clorox wipes.

Anyone bringing donations and staying for dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. on July 21, will receive $4 off their meal compliments of Modern Woodmen. If you plan to join us, please call Dan Mayo at 937-725-0445, or email: [email protected].

Modern Woodmen of America is a fraternal financial services company that partners with members on community projects. The Care & Share program offers an opportunity for members to reach out and help others in need. Modern Woodmen also provides additional funds to help pay for items needed beyond the donated gifts.
