On Aug. 21, Tri-County Triangle Trail will host the 22nd-annual Tri-County Triangle Trail Cookie Bicycle Tour.

The event is for beginning bicyclists to more advanced riders that want to ride up to 100 miles. With marked routes and maps, riders can choose to ride only on the paved Tri-County Triangle Trail for shorter distances up to 14 miles or enjoy routes that include the Tri-County Triangle Trail and low traffic paved country roads with distances of 21, 36, 50, 75 and 100 miles.

The routes feature the beauty of rural Ross, Fayette and Highland counties. The shorter distances are mostly flat easy rides while the longer routes have some moderate hills. Rider maps are available and the routes are well marked for easy navigation.

All rides start at Brad Lightle Park in Frankfort. Registration fee includes snacks, sport drink, and our famous homemade cookies. And we do have a service vehicle that can assist with minor mechanical problems or offer a ride back to Frankfort.

Registration for individuals is only $15 or $25 for a family. Registration and more information are available at on our website at www.tricountytriangletrail.org or call 313-4104. All proceeds from this event benefit the trail upkeep and maintenance.
