FCSO trying to identify theft suspect

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has released a surveillance image of a man deputies are working to identify.

Reports state the man went into Kay Jewelers at the Tanger Outlet Mall Monday and asked to see merchandise. An employee assisting the man said he grabbed jewelry and ran out of the store after she pulled out a tray to compare pieces.

It is reported he left the store with nine pieces of 10k white gold solitaire earrings and pendant necklaces that have a total value of $8,573.

The man is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s. He reportedly fled in a black Impala with chrome and a missing rear license plate. A passenger is said to have been in the car with the man.
