Fayette County Board of DD would like to invite all parents and guardians of individuals who have a disability to Southern State Community College this Wednesday, Sept. 28th from 6-7:30 p.m.

A representative from Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel’s office will be present to explain and answer any questions you might have pertaining to the new STABLE accounts. The STABLE accounts are a nationwide enrollment for people with disabilities, a tax-free savings plan for disability-related expenses, plus those enrolled are able to save and invest without losing needs-based benefits.

The next session in the SALT (School to Adult Life Transition) series will be on Oct. 26th again at Southern State Community College. The October session will include information about Guardianships, Wills and Trusts.

Topics for the spring 2017 lecture series will include Waivers, Navigating Social Security, Medicaid and BCMH, Local Resources and Transition Planning.

This training is being brought to you by the Employment First Local Leaders collaboration of Brown, Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties. For questions and to RSVP (recommended but optional) please contact Betty Reisinger, community resource director at Fayette County Board of DD. You may reach her at 740-335-7453 or by email at [email protected].
