Flagway Inc., #2, 915 E. Market Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection.

Sunny Maple, 5675 U.S. Route 62 NE. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed no test strips for sanitizer, observed mop being stored in mop sink instead of being hung dry.

AUG. 4

Speedway 7611, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed trash on ground floor around the dumpster behind the store, store is very clean, food temps were all above satisfactory level.

Giovanni’s, 215 West Court St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed food in cooler out of temperature at 47 degrees, observed chicken being stored above other foods in cooler.

Dairy Queen, 205 W. Court Street. Standard/complaint inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection.

AUG. 6

Giovanni’s, 215 West Court St. Follow-up inspection. Violations/comments: Observed the coolers at proper temperature, reading 41 degrees, manager had coolers repaired by refrigeration company.

AUG. 7

Washington Court House Save-A-Lot, 1151 Columbus Avenue. Complaint inspection. Violations/comments: Complaint on the ceiling tiles in the meat department and possible mold, observed two tiles in meat cutting room on ceiling missing, tile in the back of the room had fallen the previous day, observed one tile on ceiling near entry way having a bowed effect.

AUG. 10

Pettit’s Grocery, Bloomingburg. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed quart sanitizer being used with chlorine test strips, observed ham salad in cooler without proper date mark.

Little Caesar’s Pizza, 105 N. Hinde St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed pizza oven not clean to sight and touch, manager is scheduled to clean it (Thursday), will return Friday, Aug. 14 to follow-up on pizza oven.

Grace Community Church, 525 Glenn Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations noted at time of inspection.

AUG. 11

Pettit’s #1, 303 E. Court Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed donuts without proper ingredients labeled on the container, observed open pepperoni in pizza cooler without date mark, observed chlorine test strips being used with quat sanitizer.

Starlight Pizza, Bloomingburg. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed open bag of chicken wings in freezer without a date mark.

AUG. 12

Washington C.H. Save-A-Lot, 1151 Columbus Avenue. Standard/complaint inspection. Violations/comments: Deep fried chicken process: employee walked me through the process, they flour the wings and thighs then deep fry the chicken for seven minutes at 330 degrees. I cut open a sample piece of chicken and witnessed no blood, chicken was thoroughly cooked and temped at 160 degree internal temperature.

Jeffersonville Pool Concessions, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations noted at time of inspection.

AUG. 14

Atkinson’s Bakery, 210 W. Elm St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed no test strips for sanitizer.

American Legion #653, 815 Gregg St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection.

Little Caesar’s Pizza, 105 N. Hinde St. Follow-up inspection. Violations/comments: Reinspected pizza oven, manager cleaned over and has said it will be cleaned once a week.

AUG. 17

LeElla Lanes – Ronald Amore, 1428 U.S. 22 NW. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed pepperoni in cooler not date marked and ham in cooler not date marked.

AUG. 18

Grace United Methodist Church, 301 East Market St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection.

AUG. 19

Mulligan’s Tavern and Grille, Greenfield. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed ice machine has a build up of calcium and dirt debris, observed small cooler temperatures above 41 degrees.

Detty’s Market, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed expired baby food similar can and two cans of graduate puffs on shelf, observed mop being stored in mop bucket.
