South Side Church of Christ would like to welcome Barry S. Pettit as their new minister and his family to Washington Court House.


South Side Church of Christ would like to welcome Barry S. Pettit as its new minister.

Barry, his wife Elizabeth, and three children are excited to be in Washington Court House. Barry received his B.A. in preaching at Kentucky Christian University, and has been in the full time ministry for over 20 years. Throughout his ministry, he has ministered in churches of many sizes.

His passion is to lead the unchurched to Jesus, and to build unity with among believers. In his last ministry, the church he served reached over 500 members.

Barry said, “It is a truly amazing thing to see people come to know Jesus, and to watch Him transform their lives.” He is excited to be at South Side, to bring renewal, and to reach others with the loving message of Christ. This December he will be preaching a sermon series entitled “Celebrate Christmas” on Sundays at 10 a.m. during worship service. Barry is a native of eastern Ohio and is excited to be back home rooting for his Buckeyes.
