The Miami Trace Lady Panthers hosted Hillsboro Tuesday evening for the final SCOL game of the season.

When the teams meet next year, it will be as members of a new, as yet unnamed, league.

Hillsboro won the match, 4-1.

Hillsboro scored with 35:01 remaining in the first half.

Miami Trace tied the match with a goal by Morgan Eggleton assisted by Becca Ratliff at the 19:22 mark.

Hillsboro scored again with 7:29 left in the half. In the second half they scored at 23:27 and 19:28.

Miami Trace’s senior goalkeeper, Taylor Barrett, had 11 saves.

“Hillsboro is a tough opponent but we hung with them the first half,” Miami Trace head coach Caitlin Francis said. “In the second half, they controlled more of the game. The girls played hard and we are ready to prepare for our upcoming Sectional game where we will see Hillsboro again.”

Miami Trace finishes the 2016 regular season with a record of 4-12 overall, 4-8 in the SCOL.

Miami Trace, the No. 5 seed, will play at No. 4 seed Hillsboro in the tournament Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.
