COLUMBUS — Six swimmers from Miami Trace High School qualified to compete at the Central, East Southeast District Division II Swimming Tournament held at McCorkle Natatorium at The Ohio State University on Friday, Feb. 17. Sixty-nine schools competed in the event.
Jacob Haldeman swam in two individual events, placing 23rd in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.83, and placing 29th in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.31.
The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Lauren Truex, Lilly Litteral, Kaitlyn Taylor, and Clare Sollars placed 25th with a time of 2:00.93, the team’s best time this season.
The evening culminated with the 400 yard freestyle relay competition. Leading off for Miami Trace was Lauren Truex, with a split time 1:06.45, followed by Addie Braden, 1:06.58, Kaitlyn Taylor, 1:06.67 and anchor Clare Sollars, 1:05.24.
The team finished 19th with a time of 4:24.94, setting the Miami Trace record in the event.
