Blue Lion soccer beats Massie, 2-0

The Washington Blue Lion boys soccer team visited Clinton-Massie Tuesday evening for the season and SCOL-opener.

Washington won the match, 2-0. With the win, Washington equals its total of SCOL victories from a year ago.

Washington goalkeeper Brian Wilson anchored a solid defensive team performance, according to head coach Aaron Teter.

Washington’s Cameron Eckles scored in the first half on a Seth Hanusik through ball.

Branton Mitchell scored the second goal unassisted in the second half.

Washington plays again on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Chillicothe in a somewhat rare weekend league match.
