Just 48 hours after suffering its first SCOL loss of the season to Miami Trace, the Washington Lady Blue Lion volleyball team quickly bounced back with a 3-0 win over Clinton-Massie Thursday night.

Scores of the games were: 25-14, 25-13 and 25-16.

“I think our girls bounced back from Tuesday,” Washington head coach Ashley DeAtley said. “Yesterday we had a great practice; the girls were very focused, ready to just get back to what we know how to do and what our program is all about.

“We stayed focused tonight,” DeAtley said. “We played everybody and it was just fun. It was fun volleyball where we just got back to the basics. It was nice seeing the girls smiling out there on the court and get out of the intense situation of Tuesday.”

Washington continues to share the lead in the SCOL at 6-1 with Chillicothe. Chillicothe’s one loss in the league came when Washington beat them at Chillicothe back on Aug. 27.

Chillicothe will be coming to Washington High School Tuesday for a battle for the top spot in the SCOL.

Chillicothe withstood a tough challenge from Miami Trace Thursday night, holding on to win, 25-19, 25-18 and 25-19.
