Astros 8th grade slips past Blue Lions

On Monday, Jan. 11, the Washington Blue Lion 8th grade boys traveled to East Clinton and suffered a loss at the hands of the Astros.

It was a game where scoring was in short supply and in the end the contest was decided by one point, 35-34.

The Lions came out cold offensively and could never get into any type of rhythm, according to coach Ryan Garrison.

Trevor Rarrick scored 10 of his game-high 16 points in the third to help put the Lions in front, but they were outscored by East Clinton in the final period by seven points.

Other contributors on offense for the Lions were Garitt Leisure with 11, Levi Ludwick had 5 and Eli Lynch scored 2.
