Lady Lions fall to S’eastern

CHILLICOTHE — The Washington Lady Blue Lions traveled down US 35 Monday to Ross County for a game at Southeastern High School against the Panthers.

Southeastern came out with a 22-3 first quarter en route to a 62-40 victory.

Washington freshman Hannah Haithcock led the Lady Lions with 16 points. Senior Jaycie McRoberts scored 11 points.

Ella Skeens led the way for Southeastern with 24 points. Audrie Wheeler and Rachel Collins both reached double figures with 11 points.

Washington, 6-11 overall, 3-8 in the SCOL, is back in action Wednesday at Hillsboro.

SE beats Lady Lion j-v squad

In the reserve game Monday, Southeastern defeated Washington, 25-16.

Washington (now 13-3 overall, 9-2 in the SCOL) was led by Tabby Woods and Ally Funari, each with four points.

Cindellyn Marta led Southeastern with nine points.
