Massie softball blanks Lady Lions, 11-0

The Washington Lady Blue Lion softball team traveled to Clinton-Massie High School to take on the defending SCOL champion Falcons.

Clinton-Massie won the game, 11-0 in five innings.

Massie freshman Taylor Florea got the win, allowing one hit, walking three and striking out 10.

Wendy Hawk had Washington’s only hit, a double.

Ciera Strahler started and suffered the loss for Washington.

She pitched two innings with five hits and eight runs (five earned) with four walks and no strikeouts.

Kate Jude pitched two innings, with two hits, two runs (none earned), no walks and no strikeouts.

Caitlyn Robinson led the Falcons with three hits, including a double and a triple and three rbi.

Also at Clinton-Massie Wednesday, in a match-up of two of the three teams that tied for the SCOL baseball title last year, Massie beat the Blue Lions, 12-2 in six innings.
