The Miami Trace tennis team won its first match of the season Tuesday, April 12, 5-0 at Unioto.

At first singles, Seth Leach defeated Sam Smith, 6-2, 6-1.

At second singles, Matt Fender beat Brett Moore, 6-4, 6-4.

Ely Schirtzinger won his third singles match, 6-1, 6-4 over Kailtyn McKell.

Adam Ginn and Johnathan Allen beat Tanner Cremeans and Bane Adkins at first doubles, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

Todd Peterson and Drew Stanforth defeated Carly Payton and Caroline Thiel at second doubles, 6-0, 6-0.

Peterson and Stanforth also played a j-v doubles match against Colton Morton and Payton, winning 6-0, 6-1.

Miami Trace is at Chillicothe Friday at 4:30 p.m.
