WCH 10-year-old all-stars pound Enon, 20-3

ENON — The Washington C.H. 10-year-old Little League all-star baseball team completed District Eight pool play with a 20-3 win at Enon Saturday, July 16.

The game was originally slated for Thursday, but was postponed due to rain.

The win gave Washington a 4-0 record in pool play, setting up their District Eight title game against Fairborn on Sunday (which Washington won, 14-0).

Washington scored all the runs it would need with nine in the bottom of the first inning.

Washington made it 10-0 after two innings.

Enon scored three runs in the top of the third, but Washington answered with 10 runs in the bottom of the third. The game ended after Enon batted in the top of the fourth in accordance with the 10-run rule.

Washington used five pitchers in the game.

John Wall pitched one inning with one hit batsman, one walk and two strikeouts.

Bryce Yeazel pitched one inning with two strikeouts.

Luke Crabtree pitched two-thirds on an inning with one hit, three walks and three runs.

Corbin Melvin pitched one-third on an inning, striking out one.

Coleden May pitched one inning, striking out three batters.

Bryce Yeazel led the team with three hits. He scored four runs.

Corbin Melvin had two hits, including a double, and scored four runs.

John Wall went 2 for 4 and scored three runs.
