Lady Lion tennis blanks Greeneview

JAMESTOWN — The Washington Lady Blue Lion tennis team visited Greeneview High School on Thursday and returned with their eighth 5-0 win of the season.

Washington is now 13-2 overall on the year.

At first singles, Megan Downing defeated Ellie Adkins, 6-0, 6-1.

At second singles, Maria Pickerill beat Molly Nixon, 7-6 (7-0) 6-2.

Sydnie Hall won at third singles, 6-0, 6-1 against Katy Hilbig.

At first doubles, Anna Nestor and Sierra Dawson beat Erin Miller and Marinda Shoemaker, 6-0, 6-0.

At second doubles, Mackenzie Cress and Beth Wilt defeated Grace Lucas and Anna Willingham, 6-0, 6-1.

Washington will be at home against Wilmington Monday, home against Unioto Tuesday and will host Miami Trace Thursday at 4:30 p.m. for Senior Night.
