Police Incidents

According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

June 3

Criminal Trespass: At 1:51 a.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on West Court Street in reverse. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with David Kerns II. He advised that he recovered his vehicle from Hixons Towing that police towed the day prior. Kerns II was arrested for trespassing on Hixons lot, and was taken to jail.

Criminal Damaging: At 8:06 a.m., Denise Shadburn reported a criminal damaging complaint. She advised that sometime over the past week, unknown persons shot a BB through the window of her shop. A report was completed.

Theft: At 1:15 p.m., officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Contact was made with the complainant, who advised that Jerry Clark and Robert Nungester stole items and attempted to depart the store when they were stopped by the complainant. Both were arrested and charged.

Theft: At 10:43 p.m., Todd Kneisley reported a theft offense. He advised that he left his detached garage door open to go into his residence. The short time he was inside, unknown persons stole a push mower from his garage. A theft report was completed.

Disturbance: At 1:30 p.m., officers were investigating a complaint in the 400 block of Second Street when Leona Mongold interjected herself into the investigation. Mongold was intoxicated and caused a disturbance by demanding to be taken to jail. After warnings to cease and desist her actions were ignored, she was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Domestic Dispute: At 11:04 p.m., officers responded to 126 E. Paint St. in reference to a domestic dispute. The dispute stemmed from a music selection that agitated Jerry Joseph. Joseph was intoxicated and continued his disorderly behavior after officers arrived. Joseph was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct.

Domestic Violence: At 11:25 p.m., officers responded to 809 Sycamore St. in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Officers arrived and spoke with the victims and witnesses. Through the investigation, officers determined that Brian Lahmon intentionally rammed a car with his truck while the victims were inside the car. Lahmon was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal damaging.
