Chillicothe tennis edges Panthers, 3-2

CHILLICOTHE — The Miami Trace tennis team visited Ohio’s First Capital Tuesday, Aug. 22 for a Frontier Athletic Conference match against the Cavaliers.

Chillicothe won the match, three courts to two.

The Cavaliers won the three singles courts and Miami Trace won both doubles matches.

At first singles, Brooklyn Riggs lost to Bella Flores, 0-6, 0-6.

At second singles, Caitlin Davis fell to Judea Harding, 3-6, 1-6 and at third singles, Audrie Musser lost to Avery Miller, 0-6, 0-6.

At first doubles, Jacinta Pettit and Raelin Pepper beat Kayla Penn and Kynze Bayes, 6-4, 7-6 (5).

At second doubles, Macy Mahorney and Kearra Anthony defeated Lillian Brown and Mackenzie Scaggs, 6-1, 6-0.

In a j-v match, Miami Trace’s Lily Waddle beat Thao Nquyen, 6-7, 7-6, 7-5.

Miami Trace hosts Washington Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
