The Washington High School tennis team hosted former South Central Ohio League rivals East Clinton Thursday, Aug. 31.
The Astros won the match, five courts to none.
At first singles, Kaily Mason defeated Jillian Frederick, 7-5, 6-3.
At second singles, Molly Seabough beat Kate Bailey, 6-2, 6-0.
At third singles, Rylee Kempton topped Siddhi Patel, 6-0, 6-0.
Stephanie Lambert and Josi Belon defeated Sam Dallmayer and Adysun Bartruff at first doubles, 6-0, 6-1.’
At second doubles, Abigail Prater and Mallory Thompson beat Gretchen Reed and Kendell Woods, 6-0, 6-1.
Washington will host another former league opponent when the team from London High School comes to town Wednesday, Sept. 6. Match time is 4:30 p.m.
