According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 17

Theft: At 5:02 p.m., a High Street resident reported the theft of a backpack from a vehicle parked at the residence.

Sept. 14

Vandalism: At 1:31 p.m., officers responded to Family Dollar in reference to a vandalism complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who advised unknown person(s) attempted to pry open the door to the business, causing damage to the door. A report was taken.

Sept. 13

Domestic Violence: At 4:07 p.m., officers responded to Peddicord Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute. The victim stated that she and the offender were in an altercation at their residence, and it escalated into the vehicle where she was assaulted. A warrant was issued and the offender was later arrested.

Theft: At 5:06 p.m., officers responded to Walmart, 1397 Leesburg Ave., in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Walmart Loss Prevention, which advised the offender passed the last point of sale without paying for the merchandise. The offender was issued a summons.
