WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Kitty’s Catfe, a beloved local establishment and adoption partner of the Fayette Regional Humane Society (FRHS), has announced a momentous milestone – over 100 cats have found their “forever homes.”

“All of us at Kitty’s Catfe are so grateful for all the love and support from this community and are so appreciative of our collaboration with Fayette Regional Humane Society. It’s together that we were able to find homes for over 100 cats so far,” said Danny White, co-owner of Kitty’s Catfe.

The Catfe, nestled at 137 N. Main St. in downtown Washington C.H., known for its cozy atmosphere where visitors can enjoy boba tea, coffee, or lemonade, while surrounded by adorable feline friends, has been working closely with the FRHS to facilitate cat adoptions since their opening six months ago. This partnership has proven incredibly successful with the recent achievement of surpassing the 100th adoption mark.

The Kitty’s Catfe team, along with the dedicated staff from the FRHS, is overjoyed by the outpouring of support from the community. The milestone of 100 adoptions represents not only the loving connections formed between families and their new furry companions, but also a significant contribution to addressing the issue of animals needing homes in the region.

The 100th adoption at Kitty’s Catfe was “Gregory” (now Louis C. Vuitton, AKA Louie), who was adopted by John Shecket on Jan. 13. Shecket and his family traveled from Columbus to visit the Catfe and Louis quickly sought him out and claimed his spot in the family.

“Louis is doing great! He is the second of two cats we adopted in quick succession, so we liked getting to see how he got along with the other cats in the catfe. The staff was super friendly and the masala chai was delicious,” said Shecket.

“Finding homes for over 100 cats is a remarkable achievement, and we are truly grateful for the collaborative effort with Kitty’s Catfe. The shared commitment has resulted in countless happy tails and forever families. This milestone reflects the compassion of our community and the success of a partnership that continues to make a profound difference in the lives of these feline friends.” said Brad Adams, FRHS chief humane agent and outreach director.

According to Kitty’s Catfe’s website at www.kittyscatfe.com, you’ll find paintings, crafts, and books from local artisans, as well as a used book section. The Catfe aims to have a wide range of cat-themed gifts and supplies. There is always something new to check out when you go in for a drink. Some of Kitty’s Catfe’s notable and popular drinks are the Berries ‘n Cream and the Dad Joke!

“We love having the opportunity to bring boba and bubble tea to our community, offering a diverse menu of flavors to suit every person’s tastebuds. Customers can choose from a variety of tea bases, including classic black tea, green tea, cold brew coffee, or fruit-infused options. Our milk choices range from traditional dairy to popular non-dairy alternatives like oat or soy milk.” said White.

What sets Boba Tea apart is the delightful addition of tapioca and other flavorful pearls, creating a unique textural experience with each sip, according to White. The pearls, nestled at the bottom of the drink, are enjoyed through a wide straw, making the entire experience both flavorful and fun. Kitty’s Catfe’s menu features an array of toppings to further customize the Boba Tea experience. From fruit jellies to sea salt cream, Tajin, and flavored popping boba, the possibilities are endless.

“Our goal is to bring a burst of flavor and excitement to our community, and Boba Tea is the perfect embodiment of that vision. It’s not just a drink; it’s an experience,” said White.”

Kitty’s Catfe continues to encourage cat lovers to visit and consider adopting their next feline family member. With a variety of cats of all ages, colors, and personalities, there is a perfect match for every potential adopter.
