WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — At a recent meeting, the Fayette County Commissioners approved the appointment of two Washington C.H. residents to the Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council.

David Carr and Greg Pettit were appointed to the council for three-year terms.

Also at the meeting:

– A contract was approved between the Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services and The Buckeye Ranch Inc., out of Columbus, to provide transitional housing/independent living services for youth and related services for children in the care and custody of the Fayette County Children Services. The effective date of the contract is Dec. 7, 2023 through Dec. 31, 2024.

The maximum amount payable under this contract is $75,000.

– Per the request of Fayette County Engineer Steve Luebbe, the commissioners proceeded with the purchase of a 2016 International 4400 truck from Ken Lugibihl Auto & Truck Center, Bluffton, at a price of $74,900.
