American Legion Post 25 elects officers

The American Legion Post 25 of Washington Court House recently held the election of officers for the 2024-2025 year. The new officers are: John King, commander; Eric Harlow, first vice; Bill Carpenter, second vice; Jacob Dawson, adjutant; and Mark Voorhis, financial officer.

The executive board is Elaine Stalsworth, Jerred Mitchell, Jeremy Owens, Sgt. At Arms, Dave Leach, and Chaplain Jacob Dawson.

Commander John King said he is happy to announce the American Legion is now open to the public every Friday and Saturday night. During the week, Monday through Friday, they are open to the public (for lunch only) and offer delicious daily lunch specials, he said.

The noted upcoming events: June 15, The Eyes of Freedom display (sponsored by the American Legion) and Brett Whitman Ride, hosted by the American Legion.

On July 3, Boogie on the Blacktop, with a great view of Fire in the Sky is available to the public. They have plans in the works for fun activities, including live music by the Cortney Jo Band that night.
