A smashin’ good time at the fair

Two buses smashed into the far corner of the track at Thursday’s bus derby.

Another two buses try to crash each other until one can no longer drive at the bus derby Thursday.

After several crashes, this bus lost a front tire and the engine was smoking.

Caleb Reynolds, of New Paris, Ohio, won first prize in the street-stock mini, van-truck-SUV class derby Thursday.

Charlie Richards won second prize in the street-stock mini derby Thursday.

There was a good crowd and the McDonald’s grandstands were full at the Thursday school bus derby.

An engine fire started in another bus after a hard crash and the fire crew jumped in to put the flames out quickly.

The Miami Trace bus was driven by Tony Penwell and it had a fire in the engine compartment which the fire department volunteers quickly put out. Penwell got out of the bus safely.

The Miami Trace school bus and the Fayette Christian school bus smash into each other.

In the street-stock mini car derby Thursday, Noah Suiter of Sabina won first prize.
